CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF BASKETBALL COACHES

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Active Member
Any individual coach interested or actively engaged in the game of basketball and desiring affiliation with the purposes of the CABC, may become an Active Member upon payment of the annual dues set by the Board of Directors.  Active Members in good standing shall be eligible to vote at meetings of the members and to hold office.

Affiliate Member
Any individual non-coach, business, institution, library or other related organization interested in the game of basketball and desiring affiliation with the purposes of the CABC, may become an Affiliate Member upon payment of the annual dues set by the Board of Directors.  Affiliatete Members are not eligible to vote or hold office.

Honorary Member
Any individual distinguished in the game of basketball is eligible to become an Honorary member of the CABC.  Nominations shall be made by the Awards Committee, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors by the unanimous affirmative vote of all Directors then in office.  Honorary Members must be elected by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members entitled, registered and present at the annual meeting of the members. 

Life Member
Any individual distinguished in the game of basketball who has been an Active Member of the CABC for more than twenty years is eligible to become a Life Member.  Nominations shall be made by the Awards Committee, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors by the unanimous affirmative vote of all Directors then in office. 

Benefits
CABC membership entitles the holder to:

·  The rights and privileges associated with Active, Associate, Honorary and Life memberships

·  Attendance and participation privileges at the annual CABC National Convention

·  An annual subscription to the CABC's electronic newsletter, "Canadian Courtside"

·  Preferred status to a range of coaching-related products and services, including personal and player insurance, travel and accommodation packages, resource centre materials, camps and clinics, educational programs, clothing and equipment purchases

·  Affiliated Membership with the appropriate Sport Governing Bodies associated with the CABC
